Zen Oasis

In our recent project, the wall facing the breakfast nook posed a unique challenge—a corner space that was unsuitable for adding furniture. We decided to reimagine it by introducing a Zen garden, an understated yet impactful addition that added character to the space.

The Zen garden’s simplicity not only enhances visual appeal but also cultivates a serene atmosphere, ideal for starting each day on a peaceful note. Moreover, its minimal maintenance requirements add to its allure.

Imagine a small corner transformed into a haven of tranquility, decorated with carefully arranged stones, sand or gravel, and perhaps a touch of bamboo or a delicate statue. That’s what we set out to do.

Moodboard

The mood board concept for our Zen Garden project focused on simplicity. We’ve incorporated an arched wallpaper and a mirror overlay for visual interest, complemented by wooden slats covering the remaining wall. Choosing gravel stones ensures low maintenance, while a subtle chandelier and a carefully curated Nandi statue completed the overall look.

We designed a unique arched wallpaper panel and seamlessly integrated an Amazon mirror onto it. You can go through the DIY process in my blog.

The juxtaposition of the two elements produced a captivating contrast and introduced an eye-catching focal point to the wall.

The inclusion of lighting not only enhanced the ambiance but also elevated the overall look of the space.
