Emerald Elegance

This project is one of the most dramatic ones in our portfolio. Our client was onboard with going bold with the color palette and we opted for jewel tones for this space. We transformed our client’s living space, complete with a traditional fireplace, into a modern space that exudes opulence and luxury.

True to DesiDIY style, we achieved a balance of modern aesthetics sprinkled with traditional artifacts. The design features our signature marble-look resin panels, which were tailored specifically for the client. We placed shelving units in front of the backdrop, juxtaposed with a clever mix of traditional and modern vignettes and furniture that complemented the decor.

Moodboard

The moodboard for the project focused on the theme of maximalist opulence. Drawing from a rich palette of jewel tones and complementary colors, we carefully selected hues to infuse the space with depth and richness. Our overarching goal was to create an atmosphere of luxury, evoking a sense of lavishness and extravagance. With each element meticulously chosen, from the vibrant hues to the sumptuous textures, our vision was to craft a space that not only looked opulent but also felt indulgent for our clients.

The focal wall

We began with a traditional fireplace that we kept. To infuse a modern ambiance, we installed wooden cladding around the fireplace. We didn’t find the right wall paneling and so we used floor cladding.

The huge resin panels were created from scratch to resemble marble. I’ve shared the process of creating these panels in my blog.

These huge panels were then installed on both sides of the fireplace. The completed wall emerged as a captivating focal point.

Shelving units

We placed gold shelving units in front of the resin panel and styled them with a meticulously curated mix of curios, each holding special meaning for the client. We were able to create a balanced fusion of traditional and modern elements to create a harmonious aesthetic. Complementing colors were used for the furniture to bring the space together.
