The wall behind the couch turned into a beautiful blend of two distinct styles—each telling its own story. On one side, We designed a custom Jaipur-inspired wallpaper that became the soul of the room. With a jharokha-style frame and peacocks nestled in soft florals, it feels like a window into royal India. This piece instantly adds depth, character, and a beautiful sense of heritage to the space.
On the other side, we leaned into something modern and bold—a large arched resin panel DIYed by the client herself. With rich rust and emerald tones, it mimics the look of grand marble and adds that luxe, textured feel. The mix of this contemporary piece with the traditional mural created the perfect kind of contrast—and honestly, that’s what gives this living room its unique, unforgettable vibe.
Let’s walk through the transformation:
The Entryway:

First impressions matter—and this entryway does not play it safe. We wanted the moment you step in to feel like a warm welcome from Jaipur itself. So instead of a basic console-and-mirror setup, we went big. Really big.
The centerpiece? A DIY nod to the iconic Lotus Gate from the City Palace. It all started with a carved mirror panel we scored at HomeGoods—but we didn’t stop there. We transformed it into a statement doorway by layering it over a custom wallpaper mural. The design? A hand-painted, Jaipur-inspired version of the Lotus Gate, printed to fit our space perfectly.
Then came the jharokha frames—laser-cut wooden panels finished with rich details and subtle LED lighting tucked behind to make the whole thing glow. Installing it was no small feat (this piece is huge!), but the end result? Worth every effort and drill bit.
We anchored the vignette with a clean white-and-gold console and styled it minimally so the textures, tones, and craftsmanship could take center stage. This entryway doesn’t whisper elegance—it sings it, with a rhythm that flows straight from the mural wall on the other side. A palace moment, right at the front door.
Living Room:

What was once a bare space with plain walls and scattered sunlight is now a rich, inviting room bursting with personality and cultural layers. We went bold with the seating and softened the look with a warm, thoughtful palette and a layout that flows.
The curved white sofa was the perfect starting point—it hugs the room beautifully and pulls your attention right to the center. Facing it, four velvet chairs in a stunning burnt-orange with brass frames add a burst of color, warmth, and just the right amount of glam. You’ll notice the brass details sneak their way into accents and furniture, tying everything together without trying too hard.
Behind the sofa, we created two very distinct art moments that bring the whole space to life. On one side, we went all out with a hand-painted Jaipur-inspired mural, framed in a jharokha style with peacocks tucked into layers of florals. It’s like a little royal escape right on the wall.
Framing the large windows, we added two custom arched panels designed to mimic the look of palace windows from Jaipur. With their graceful curves and intricate detailing, they don’t just dress the windows—they become architectural features that tie the whole room back to its regal inspiration.
The coffee table styling? Kept it simple but intentional. A pair of quirky taper holders, a brass singing bowl, and a floral arrangement in a vintage-style vase added texture and interest without overwhelming the space. It’s cozy, creative, and very much a vibe.
Zen Garden

This little spot truly stole the show. With all the drama and height in the room, we wanted something that felt grounding and calm. The built-in planter by the bay window was just begging for a moment, so we gave it one.
We layered in Birds of Paradise and lush green succulents, all set in matte black planters for a sleek contrast. White pebbles, patches of moss, and a soft glow from LED strip lighting made it feel like it came alive—especially in the evenings. That bay window backdrop? It gave the whole corner a calm, almost meditative vibe.
It’s the perfect counterbalance to all the rich color and texture in the room—bringing in a touch of nature, softening the space, and creating a peaceful little pause the moment you walk in.
View from Above: Double Height, Double Impact

The tall ceilings in this room weren’t a challenge—they became one of its best features. We leaned into that height with a dreamy glass globe chandelier that adds just the right amount of sparkle and warmth. On either side, we installed wall sconces to bring in some soft, moody lighting and frame the mural beautifully—even after the sun goes down.
And the view from above? It’s like looking at a painting. The bold mural, sculptural seating, and cozy accents all come together in this perfect visual rhythm. Seeing it from the upper level really confirmed that everything flows just the way we hoped it would.
Wrapping It Up

This room was never just about picking the right sofa or painting a pretty wall—it was about telling a story. One where old-world Indian charm meets clean modern lines, where bold colors show up with confidence, and every detail invites you to pause and feel something.
From the hand-painted mural to the sculptural seating, the lush garden nook to the view from above—it all came together in layers, like a love letter to Jaipur’s rich heritage wrapped in modern-day comfort. The Jaipur Royale project stretched our creativity in every direction (literally—we had to think way up thanks to those high ceilings), but every challenge made the end result even more rewarding.
This living room now feels like the soul of the home—full of warmth, personality, and stories just waiting to unfold. And we’re just getting started. Can’t wait to take you through the rest of this home—because when each space is this thoughtfully done, the whole house becomes something truly special.
